Kevin Harris joins McIntyre Compliance Services

Cambridgeshire-headquartered McIntyre Compliance Services (MCS) has appointed Kevin Harris as Head of Passive Fire. Kevin joins MCS’ senior leadership team with a remit to extend more passive fire protection solutions for the company’s growing portfolio of social housing and local authority clients.

With a career background as a serving firefighter, Kevin is no stranger to the critical status of fire safety in residential buildings. Two days after the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower in 2017, Kevin joined the fire safety team. He spent two years living on site and working closely alongside the families and fire services.

Kevin’s passion for fire safety is second to none. Speaking of his appointment to MCS, Kevin explains: “I want to bring professionalism into play. I strongly believe that trusted safety contractors can genuinely make places safer. I want to change mindsets and encourage everyone to raise the bar on fire safety standards”.

Graeme Taylor, CEO of McIntyre Compliance Services comments: “Kevin’s appointment strengthens our team at a time when fire safety regulatory reform is a major contributor for keeping places, and people, safe. Kevin’s focus on passive fire protection measures is a key element in our safety compliance services for social landlords. It’s great to have him onboard, and our clients will value his advice and recommendations”.
